We have for you a rare Norfolk and Western Railroad map of the N&W coal and coke operations in the Pocahontas coalfields of Mercer, McDowell and Tazewell County in both West Virginia and Virginia. This map is dated 1892 and is a very early representation of the Norfolk & Western railroad operations in southern West Virginia and southwest Virginia. I have collected and viewed many N&W items from my area here in southwest Virginia and I have never seen this map nor has any of my collector friends found it either. It is backed on cardboard and covered with shrink wrap plastic...it is not glued onto the cardboard. It measures 13" high and 32" long and would look awesome framed up. The right border edge has a 1.5" loss along margin but does not detract from the eye appeal of the map. If you are an N&W collector or collect local railroad items from here in southwest Virginia or southern West Virginia...this is a must have. Contact me with any other questions.
