The item is sold as is, as found, and as you see it. The sale is for an Amy Hess signed brushed metal maybe clown man clock on base. The clock is in good condition with age related issues. The clock is in a silver metal with shiny vertical overlapping swirls design. The base more horizontal. The clock has no second hand; I do not think it ever did. The clocks hour and minute hands are two fish; one maybe a swordfish. The hands can seem a bit buckled; not severely. No damage or bends in metal. When I bought it, the minute hand was kind of loose. The shaft seems ok, so I pressed the circular center down by pushing lightly; seems to keep it tighter and works ok. This can happen if clock is moved around but can be pressed back down. The back quartz movement is loose, to where it can turn around but not coming off. Needs something to wedge between compartment and clown, like cardboard. Theres tape residue patch on upper left shoulder. Dirt in crevices, light surface wear. The numbers are cutouts in the metal, just 12, 3, 6, and 9. Clock works, takes a AA battery, not included. Can be a bit tough to get in case, just be patient with it. It will eventually slide in. It's etched in metal on underside Amy Hess Ark NY. She works in Ark studios, South Hampton. I have researched her work and did not see any other sculptures. Measures 5.25" X 12" X 4". Made in '93 or '94. Related Items:
