This super-high quality umbrella is likely from 1972, when NBC Sports began using the pointy N logo, which is printed in 4 places around the canopy. It is such a heavy duty umbrella that I can’t imagine it was a gift store item. It was more likely to be used by on-air reporters during outdoor sporting events. It could be just for golf events, since umbrellas are famously associated with that sport, but for some reason I think this umbrella was more multi-sport.It is 3 feet tall. Approximately 4 feet in diameter when open. Hardwood handle, steel mechanics, tent-like fabric. Speckled here and there with dark specks which are not so bad as to detract much from this spectacular umbrella.
