This large, cabinet-sized specimen showcases stunning grape-sized calcite crystals delicately presented on soft yellow and tan colored limestone.

The limestone base has been cut flat for ideal display quality.

Dimensions: 4.25 x 3.5 x 3.75 in

The specimen’s origins can be traced back to Snyder County, PA, where it was carefully extracted on September 9, 2023 by the seller from the National Limestone Quarry #2.

The formations to which the rock belonged are known as the Keyser and Tonoloway (undivided) from the Silurian to Devonian age between 444 and 359 million years ago. The presence of limestone is indicative of a shallow marine environment of formation.
