Johnathon Yerkes and Fayette Plump was a partnership that existed from 1869-1887 before plumb bought out yerkes to operate solely under the Plumb name. There were some tools that were still made under the Y&P logo after 1879; but none with “Yerkes & Plumb” spelled out like this piece. As you can see above the anchor going left to right. Below the anchor also left to right it reads “Solid Cast Steel.” It now weighs 13 Lbs., 4 oz. It measures 8 in. long and the peen is 2 3/4 in.
