An album containing a rare collection of numerous (65 pieces) newspapers articles, official (governmental) documents, letters, photographs and playbills (attached/ glued to album\'s pages) related to famous Soviet Russian/ Armenian theater/ movie artist/ producer Gaik (Guy) Danzas (Gayk, Hayk, Haik). Vast majority of items are from 1920s & the remaining are from 1930s.
Guy Danzas- People\'s Artist of Armenia. SSR (1950).
Born on May 10, 1899 in Nakhichevan-on-Don (now Rostov-on-Don).
In 1919 - began his theatrical activities in the Rostov Russian Theater. Since 1920 - acted as a director, actor of drama and operetta on the stages of Rostov, Krasnodar, Kharkov, Stavropol, Armavir, Tbilisi, Baku, Yerevan, etc.
Founder of the operetta in Rostov-on-Don (1922) and Yerevan (1942). The husband of actress Isabella Danzas (Kozodian).
He died on March 22, 1977 in Yerevan.
В 1919 - начал сценическую деятельность в Ростовском русском театре. С 1920 г. был актером и режиссером армянских театров в Ростове-на-Дону, Тбилиси, Баку, Краснодаре, Ленинакане.
С 1920 - выступал в качестве режиссера, актера драмы и оперетты на сценах Ростова, Краснодара, Харькова, Ставрополя, Армавира, Тбилиси, Баку, Еревана и др.
Один из основателей Армянского театра оперетты (1922 г.). С 1942 выступает в комедиях Ереванского театра и проявляет себя как талантливый комедийный актёр. Данзас обладал ярким юмором, эмоциональностью, музыкальностью, мастерством Назар (\"Храбрый Назар\" Айвазяна)
