Up for your consideration is a Vietnam-era M1 Garand web sling stampedMRT 3-59.

These were also used on the Marine Corps 7.62mm rifles and the US Army 5.56mm rifles in Vietnam.

This sling is nice, and the cotton web hasno rips, tears, fraying; there are a few old rust stains on the webbing.

Here are the details:

• Item: M1 Garand web sling
• Sling markings: MRT 3-59
• Condition: No rips, tears, or fraying
• Color: Medium olive green
• Sling tip finish: Correct blackened brass, with very old patina on it
• Sling keeper: Correct, one heavy rib, parkerized
• Sling buckle: Correct, wide, parkerized
• Sling clip: Correct, parkerized
• Metal finish: Nice parkerizing, but some old corrosion

The parkerizing on the clip, buckle, and keeper isvery nice; however, there is some old very mild corrosion.

Put a nice sling on your postwar rebuilds: SEA (Southeast Asia) M1D;your Vietnam-era M1 Letterkenny (LEAD), Red River(RRAD), or Toole (TE).
