This long embroidered decorative towel / table runner is probably from Romania (Transylvania).
It features floral embroidery at each end, with crochet edging, on what feels like homespun.
Comparable to a Ukrainian rushnyk, these pieces were generally draped over framed artwork or photographs which hung on the walls of village homes.
Measures approx. 13.5 x 74” plus 2” crochet at each end.
As is condition—there are multiple stains and areas of discoloration on main body. The fabric itself is sturdy.
