The exquisite porcelain of the Madonna was a gift from my great Grandfather to his wife upon his return from a business trip to Florence, Italy. He was a merchant in importing fine goods and exporting Irish lace and other products from Ireland. His daughter, my grandmother carved the case in 1952.The provenance of this piece is historically accurate and proven through the history of my family.
