Complete 1976 Set of 51 Air-Sealed 7-Up Bicentennial Cans. The 7-Up Bicentennial set is a special collection of empty, air-sealed cans. It was released by 7-Up in 1976 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. This collection features 50 unique cans, each representing one of the 50 states. The cans are illustrated with the states' silhouettes, and proclaim each state's capital, nickname, year of admission to the Union, and position in the sequence of admission.
On the can for Alabama, there are instructions for stacking the cans in a pyramid. When you do, one side looks like 7-Up cans and the other side displays Uncle Sam in red, white and blue. There is a 51st can, with the legend "United We Stand, 1776-1976," that goes on the very top. Related Items:
