Up for sale is this vintage brown Bali Hai mug with its original box. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This mug has a glazed brown interior and a wood grain patterned exterior with three different tiki faces. The faces are different from the faces on the more commonly found Islander three-face mugs. The mug is approximately 4 1/4 inches tall. The mug together with the box weighs 14.3 ounces, unpacked. This will be an uncommon addition to a tiki room or exotic Polynesian or kitsch decor.Identification
The base of the mug is marked \"Bali Hai.\" It has a round sticker beneath that say, \"IMPERIAL IMPORTS JAPAN.\" The box has a label on the side that reads, \"No. TT-11 1 PC MADE IN JAPAN.\" The exact age of this vintage mug is not known.Condition
The mug looks great overall, with no chips or cracks. There is some fine crazing to the brown glaze. As made, there are minor manufacturing flaws such as thin glaze areas, pinprick indents, and minor shape asymmetry. Promotional tiki mugs such as this were not intended to be technically perfect.
