This is truly an amazing work of art, I\'ve never seen anything like it..It Features a secret slide out compartment on the bottom of the box..
When opened there is a beautiful diorama of a pub scene-
The sides of the box features hand painted scenes of black forest life-that includes country sides, houses, dancing and eating..
It has a lock and a key that work..
There is some warpage to the wood from age, some scratches, and chipping to the paint.. It\'s possible that the diorama is missing one drinking glass on the top ledge..
When sliding the bottom of the box open-I suggest to be slow and gentle and keep your hand on the bottom of the box not the edges..
