$9.95
This early 20th-century real photo postcard captures a family standing in front of their Folk Victorian home, complete with a white picket fence, upper balcony, and turned porch posts typical of transitional architecture from 1890–1915. The shaded yard and visible fruit trees suggest a mild coastal or Central California climate, where such homes were common in small agricultural towns.
The dog seated in the foreground appears to be a mixed breed, possibly a collie/shepherd cross. The image conveys a sense of stability and prosperity associated with early Western domestic life, making it a fine representation of vernacular California architecture and family portraiture in the real photo postcard era.
