1980s pottery figure of 3 bears huddled together as a family. This was made by and signed Jason Mondragon of the Taos New Mexico Native American Pueblo.Mondragon uses the Taos micaceous clay to make families of bears.The bears hugging each other represent protection, strength and courage. They have a metallic shimmer because the special clay contains bits of mica that give them that special glow.He has gathered the clay from the New Mexico Mountains and fired the bears in a fire pit.Jason's Indian name is Red Star Rising Jules.
