This typewriter is an Olympia SM4 "S" Signature portable manual typewriter from 1961 based on the serial number on the bottom.The Serial# off the bottom, as pictured, is #1798127.
The color of this gorgeous Olympia typewriter is Dark Green with a powder coat finish with dark green keys and lighter green platen knobs, space bar, and tab keys on either side of the space bar.
This typewriter comes with the factory hard 2-Tone Olympia hard case with polished chrome latch closure.
A PDF printed copy of the original owner's user manual is included. The case lock key is not included.
Everything on this typewriter is just as it was when it was purchased back in 1961.
We have installed a brand new high quality black and red ribbon on original vintage metal ribbon spools in this typewriter.
The font that this typewriter has is the very desirable typeface Pica in 10 pitch or 10 characters per inch .

Olympia SM models were the best built manual typewriters ever. They were manufactured in Western Germany and were of the highest quality.
Inside the hard case are two metal latches that secure the typewriter inside the case for safe portable movement and transport.
The back of the typewriter reads "Made in Western Germany" on the rear metal plate.
The four black rubber feet on the bottom of the machine are in excellent condition without signs of heavy use or wear.
