The box was used in monument shops and by traveling agents to enable their customers to choose the type of marble they wished to use for their cemetery stones.
Key To Samples: 1) Verde Antique quarried at Roxbury, Vermont(2) Champlain Red quarried at Swanton, Vermont. (3) Radio Black is quarried at Isle La Motte, Vermont, in Lake Champlain. (4) Neshobe Gray quarried at West Rutland, Vermont. (5) Pittsford Valley quarried at Florence, Vermont. (6) Danby Imperial quarried at Danby, Vermont (7) Light Cloud quarried at West Rutland, Vermont (8) Brocadillo quarried at West Rutland, Vermont.
Size:The box measures 5-1/4" x 9-1/2" and each sample measures 2-1/4" square.
Very good used condition.
Some wear to label on top of box.
