Here is one of my 100% genuine signed Sir Elton John lps, signed in 1980 shortly after the album’s release.

Over the next few hours I will be listing 5 signed LP records from my private collection raising money for the charity Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide.

This sale is for Elton’s stunning 24th studio album from May 1980 (his 21st album and he had turned 33 years old). It was signed by Elton in person with a blue biro. It is un dedicated and says ‘Best wishes Elton John’.

A rare early signing and a great gift for an Elton John fan.

The album, both record sleeve cover and inner sleeve are in very good to excellent condition. The vinyl LP has some occasional background crackles and pops but otherwise plays extremely well. The album cover has a small biro mark at the bottom left corner of the front cover and the bottom right corner has a slight crease mark where the cover has unfortunately been slightly bent, See photo 10.

We all know Sir Elton John as the musical genius that he is and he’s still performing at the very highest level, with all the energy and enthusiasm of a much younger man. Very sadly he will be finishing his current mammoth farewell Worldwide Tour in July and will not be touring again.

What a lot of people don’t know so well is what a kind and generous man he is and someone I’ve been lucky enough to work for on a number of occasions over the last thirty years.

A letter giving full authenticity and details of when and exactly where this album was signed will be included in the sale. This album was given to me by a retired music industry executive from Phonogram who knew I was a fan of Elton’s. This is 100% genuine and a particularly gorgeous early signature of Eltons, as you will see when you receive the album, so I’m quite happy to offer a full money back guarantee if you’re not completely satisfied.

SEJ’s autograph has changed significantly over the last fifty years, through three main stages, this signature is typical of the mid 1970s through to the mid 1980s. Unfortunately most of the signatures one sees being sold on line, particularly , are very bad fakes.
