This is a beautifully restored Antique Sessions Tambour mantel clock circa 1920sThis most splendid original Sessions clock has been restored both inside and out. ! The original Sessions rare fine round movement has been fully disassembled and all parts thoroughly cleaned both ultrasonically and by hand. The powerful mainsprings that power the clock have been properly removed from their barrels, cleaned and greased and are very lively. The movement then reassembled, properly oiled, adjusted and tested for several weeks and keeps good time.
The beautiful cabinet has been artfully restored (the cabinet on this clock is special !) please see my high resolution photos. The original brass bezel has been thoroughly cleaned and polished and is most pleasing to the eye ! The original and rare silvered dial has been gently cleaned and is in excellent original condition with elegant raised numerals in black with gilt borders. The original spade hour and minute hands have been reblued and enhance the beauty of the dial.
The clock chimes pleasantly once on the half hour and a full cathedral gong marking the correct hour on the hour. This is an 8 day clock and needs to be wound weekly on both arbors with the included 2 sided key.
A fantastic specimen of an antique functional clock that would add elegance and functionality to any room in your home and enjoyed for many years. !
