This is absolutely beautiful, the color and the textures, the children all are in such wonderful detail. It is stunning. The artistry and care put into each one of these figurines is simply amazing. The colors are brilliant. Do not see any cracks or crazing. Please be sure to zoom in for condition details. The base is approximately 7.25” x 6”. Royal Doulton’s ‘Flower Sellers Children’ are one of Royal Doulton’s most popular figurines, it was first introduced in 1929. Hand painted by a number of different artists, they have been made for years. To be able to date the figurines, there have been a few changes over the years with the markings on the bottom of the figurines.

This one for example is an earlier piece. And should date from 1929 to 1930, as 3 items are handwritten on the piece. The handwriting of these 3 items was done until 1930. The name of figurine; The Flower Seller’s Children; the figurine number, HN number: NB1342; and the Artist’s Initials/mark: HS. The Artists Initials HS, maybe those of Harry Simeon, one of Royal Doulton’s most versatile artists. In addition to its Logo, there is no number to calculate the year it was manufactured, only an asterisk where the number should be. The logo was changed around 1930. It is to be noted that Royal Doulton was versatile in their practices when changing over logos, etc. With all of these indicators we believe the piece dates it to between 1929 to 1930. However, we are not experts, please do your own research.
