Carmel Chromolithographic Print, Circa 1880This beautiful chromolithographic print depicts the iconic image of Mother Mary and Jesus offering solace and salvation to the souls in purgatory. The print measures 16 x 20 inches and is framed in an antique, gold-painted, wood rail frame with glass. The frame dimensions are 17 x 21 inches. The print was produced using stone lithography around the year 1880 in Europe, possibly Italy or Spain. The original title of the print is \"Madonna of Carmen\". The print does not have any known provenance and is being sold as-is.Condition: The print is bright and well preserved with no obvious signs of fading or discoloration. From the back, obvious yellowing and moisture damage is visible, with little or no effect to the image from the front. Print edges and corners are good. Some wrinkling, resulting in minor, soft creases are present. The frame is sturdy and clean, and has been painted at some stage.
