We are offering a Delaware & Hudson Canal Co. Pass - Northern R.R. Dept. - Saratoga and Champlain Divs. The pass, dated September 3, 1880, was issued to Mr. [Seth A.] Ranlett, former Lieutenant of the 36th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers during the Civil War, and one of the writers of the "History of the Thirty-sixth Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers. 1862-1865."The pass was for Mr. Ranlett and two others to travel from Albany to Ft. Ticonderoga, via Glens Falls & Baldwin. On the back is a "Non-Transferrable" notice, which includes the stipulation that the bearer of the "free ticket" shall not hold the Delaware & Hudson Canal Co. liable for injury to their person or for loss or injury to their property.**CONDITION** - Excellent; ticket was used, has been punched.
