✨ DESCRIPTION

Elevate your collection with this magnificent antique Japanese Nippon-style porcelain vase. Showcasing artistic mastery from the turn of the century, this piece features lush, hand-painted magenta and pink cabbage roses offset by a rich turquoise blue shoulder and gold-accented filigree.

The vase is lavishly decorated with raised gold moriage beaded scrollwork that adds striking texture and dimension. Resting gracefully on three sculpted feet and flanked by sweeping twin loop handles, it captures the opulent aesthetic of the Victorian and Art Nouveau periods. While unmarked on the bottom—a standard feature for porcelain exported prior to strict backstamp mandates—the sheer quality of the painting and gilding speaks for itself.

✨ CONDITION & DAMAGE DETAILS

• Handle Repair: One of the top scroll handles has a previous break that was reattached and glued. The repair seam line, glue trace, and light surface wear at the joint are visible upon close inspection.

• Gilt Wear: Soft, natural age wear and light patina to the gold leaf accenting, consistent with an authentic antique.

• Body & Porcelain Base: The central porcelain body, tripod feet, glaze, and floral artwork are in solid condition with no additional cracks or chips.

• Display Note: Because the front of the vase presents beautifully, it makes a gorgeous cabinet piece when positioned so the repaired handle faces toward the side or back.

✨ MEASUREMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS

• Height: Approximately 5.25 inches

• Width: Approximately 4 inches (handle to handle)

• Material: Fine Porcelain, Gold Leaf / Moriage

• Care Instructions: Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth; avoid harsh cleaners, submersion, or applying pressure to the repaired handle.
