Antique Nippon Toki Kaisha (Noritake)Vase Rare Green "Yajirobe" RC Domestic Mark:
$449.00

Up for sale is a remarkably rare and beautifully preserved piece of early Japanese industrial art pottery produced by Nippon Toki Kaisha, the parent company of Noritake. This piece features the highly collectible, early green "Yajirobe" RC (Royal Crockery) backstamp, which was registered around 1908–1912 and used primarily for the Japanese domestic market rather than western export.

Design & Material:

This striking vase features a heavy, high-fired stoneware or dense earthenware body with an incredibly smooth, professionally wheel-ground unglazed foot ring. The design showcases a fluid, organic Art Nouveau / Taisho-era bulbous "onion" or tulip shape. The body is coated in a deep, glossy maroon/burgundy glaze accented by sharp, dripping white flame or petal motifs that rise dramatically into a clean, flared white neck.

Factory Artifacts: The upper rim features a tiny, localized brown mineral/iron spot beneath the glaze. This is an original kiln characteristic from early 20th-century production and is not post-market damage. The glaze remains entirely smooth and structurally intact over the spot.
