Americais an Advertising Business Card created by the American Bank Note Company in Chicago, Illinois, between 1890 and 1920.The card features a part of President Theodore Roosevelt\'s Quote: \"One Flag, the American Flag; One language, the language of the Declaration of Independence; One loyalty, loyalty to the American People\" and a quote from President Abraham Lincoln\'s Gettysburg Address: \"We here highly resolve... That this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of Freedom; and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.\"
The card features a vignette of an Eagle holding an olive branch in one claw, a symbol of peace, and arrows in the other claw, a symbol of war. The vignette also includes a shield and a scroll with the E Pluribus Unum motto.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America is printed under the vignette: \"I pledge allegiance to my flag and to the country for with it stands: one nation indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.\"
