This is a museum quality, antique, Royal Bonn / Franz Mehlem tapestry vase. With gold paint thickly applied to the two handles and neck (both inside and outside) this vase features stunning colors of gold, light blue, dark green, red and purple. The Maker\'s Marks indicate it dates to the period from 1890-1920.
The vase is artist signed, numbered and stamped on the bottom, providing strong authentication. One stamp features the incised, uncolored, circular mark of Franz Mehlem, while a red \"1755\" mark with a crown above it is also featured. The artist signature appears to read \"Cosochmir.\" Under the artist signature are two sets of identification numbers.
At 5.25\" inches tall and 4.5\" wide, the vase is small, but packed with artistry. Vivid patterns and contrasting colors add to its eye appeal. The vase is free of cracks, crazing, or notable paint fade. It will enhance any vase collection. Given the rich colors and design patterns, the vase would enhance any home decor as well.
