This is a high-quality Vajravarahi/ Dorje Phagmo or Varahi Tibetan Thangkapainting. Vajravarahiis an important fugure in Tibetan Buddhism and a tantric deity associated withthe Vajrayana tradition. She is also known by various names such as VajraVidarini, Dorje Phagmo, or Varahi. Vajravarahi is considered a fierce andpowerful form of the female Buddha, Vajrayogini.

In Tibetan Buddhism, Vajravarahi is often depicted with asow's head on her right side and a vajra-tipped staff or trident (phurba) inher right hand. She is depicted in a dancing posture, symbolizing her dynamicand transformative energy. Vajravarahi represents the enlightened femaleprinciple, embodying wisdom, compassion, and the ability to transform negativeemotions into positive qualities.

Vajravarahi is associated with various practices and ritualsaimed at transforming desire and attachment into spiritual realization.
