Leather case has gold leaf embossing of the name of the original owner " ROBERT C. GOSHORN." The gold leaf name could be removed, but you might not want to! Robert Goshorn was the publisher of the Jefferson City News Tribune (Missouri). He purchased the paper n the 1920's and afterwards worked to bring the first television station to Mid-Missouri. KRCG-TV is named after his initials: "RCG." Robert Goshorn died in 1955, so the clock predates that year.
