Jim Carrey Being Pretentious In A Mercedes SL63

It might be me but for some reason Jim Carrey in a Mercedes SL63 driving around Hollywood feels pretty damn pretentious. And to be honest I hate that I even used that word. Screw all this yuppie crap, what happened to the Jim Carrey I loved as a kid? Photo after the jump of that Jim Carrey!

Great car for someone that has always had dreams of being famous. I see no shame in driving a nice car, if you can afford it:
you can’t be hating on jim, and that car is very nice. extra points for keeping it stock and not putting silly rims on it, or getting it murdered out.

I remember seeing him in an S-Class. Driving around in a Mercedes is nothing but class. He’s successful, let him drive what he wants. If I had his money I would want to enjoy a nice SL63 too.

The car is not stock. Look carefully at the rear lights. They have been changed to awful blacked out ones.
I think its just the lighting. It makes the tail lights look darker than they are.

Wait, this guy used to drive a McLaren SLR (it was on sale on eBay not that long ago). My question is, why isn’t he in an SL65? Or even a 600? the SL63 is so “mid-range” by elite wealth standards.
You (referring to the editor of this site) should talk about being pretentious when you look down upon anyone who does not drive a car up to par by your standards. I agree with FuturePres – if he has the money, why wouldn’t he purchase this? You (again referring to the editor) are probably envious of his SL63.

You name any Mercedes, and I guarantee you that there is a better alternative. Why would you ever buy an sl63 amg over a 911 turbo cabriolet, or you could even get a sexy aston v8 vantage roadster for the same price as that merc.
The porsche is faster, the aston is lighter and both are a whole lot better looking than the sl63.
btw Lexus’s might be ugly, but they are nothing compared to mercs, and you obviously don’t realize that Lexus makes some of the most comfortable and luxuriouse cars in the world.
The Aston V8 Vantage is slow and nowhere near the same driving/performance dynamic as the SL63.
