these Hina dolls date back from the showa era I believe it’s from the 1930s. Originally there was seven steps for these dolls, but they are lost in time surprisingly the dolls are in good condition, however the three peasants are in bad condition. These dolls are from the Nissei people of seattle and they are given as a gift to a young girl from the mother’s side of the family. The standing dolls measure up to 15 cm and the seated dolls measure up to 12 cm.as you could see a lot of the dolls are missing their accessories, The left lady in hand lost her tea pot, the royal guards are missing the bow that they are holding, the five musicians only one drum remains, The bases of the empire’s and empress are missing, The lamps are also missing, the emperors fan is missing, the miniature furniture is missing, The orange tree and the plum blossom tree are missing, and a ton of the empresses beads are missing. I advise you to go to this one website called juho tougei. translate the website into english first and then click the hina doll section and press accessories. there you would find a ton of accessories for the musicians, The 2 royal guards, and the three peasants. each peasant has three emotions one is mad one is sad and the last one is happy these teach young girls about emotion. Put these dolls away from sunlight and away from any humidity due to the doll being made with gofun and fabric which could absorb and permanently destroy the dolls. contact me about any questions and have a nice day Related Items:
