WWII Navy courtship archive, first letter to wedding.23 handwritten letters from Harry L Jones USS LST-245, to Marie “Pat” Oudt, of Schenectady NY, a General Electric employee, Oct 1944 - Nov 1945. They begin with “I sm happy to have you as a correspondent” and end with “Please don’t write anymore. You can tell me in person.” The couple then married June 30, 1946 (Schenectady Gazette, July 24, 1946).Highlights:Leyte invasion - “We went in on D-Day.
