WWI AEF letter sent by Corporal Thomas Percy Hazelhurst to his mother in Rhode Island. Percy was in France with Battery B 103rd Regiment FA. The listing is for a letter. A copy of the letter awarding him a Purple Heart is included in the listing photographs for information purposes, you will not receive this letter.Letter written on 103rd F.A. headed paper.Nov 20th 1918 . . . We are on the road . . . I have much to tell you . . . I am back with the beloved outfit. . . In all i was in the hospital 3 weeks. The Lund was not very big just a slight head wound and was healed almost immediately. . . I stated back for the outfit 2 days before the armistice was signed and was in a casual camp . .when the great and joyful news came in. . .whistle blew for over an hour and bells cannons were ringing and saluting the wonderful day. . . .the next day I was put on a train . I arrived at the Division headquarters on the 15th of November . . On a truck and arrived at my outfit . . Gee they were glad to see me . . We are now out of the lines and are waiting for some different orders . . The lord took care f me . . Things have changed immensely around the outfit . . I was made corporal Nov. 15, 1918. . . .
