** Full-Size 12-Cup Red Cliff White Ironstone 4-Piece Soup Tureen Set****Pattern:** Embossed Grape and Leaf Motif | Size Designation: Large 12 (3 Quarts)**Era:** Highly Coveted Early Blue Backstamp Variant (Late 1950s - Early 1960s)Made in the USA by Hall China CompanySTATEMENT CENTERPIECE SIZE – AUTHENTIC EARLY BLUE MARK – RARE CLEAN GLAZE!Bring classic farmhouse elegance or an "old money" holiday aesthetic to your tabletop with this gorgeous, statement-making vintage Red Cliff Ironstone Soup Tureen Set. This is the highly coveted, GRAND FULL-SIZED version—designated by the "12" volume capacity stamp on the base, meaning it holds a generous 12 cups (3 full quarts) of liquid.Do not confuse this with the much smaller 5-cup vegetable or condiment tureens frequently seen online!This specific set features the early-production crisp, deep blue ink backstamp. Many later 1960s/1970s variants transitioned to a green ink stamp. Experienced ironstone collectors highly prize these early blue-mark sets for their superior glaze consistency, stark white presentation, and rich, deep glossy sheen.This complete heirloom-quality 4-piece configuration features:1. The massive, heavy octagonal footed pedestal tureen bowl.
2. The matching deeply embossed lid with a sculpted grape-cluster finial handle.
3. The original large, heavy matching undertray presentation platter.
4. The incredibly hard-to-find original matching ceramic soup ladle.The base features the classic early circular blue "Red-Cliff Ironstone 12" backstamp, along with the authentic faint debossed historical factory mold markings ("OEG 12" and "7"). **📐 SIZE & DIMENSIONS (Grand Scale Centerpiece):**
* **Total Height:** 11 inches (With lid on)
* **Total Width / Diameter:** 12 inches
* **Total Length:** 12 inches
* **Unboxed Weight:** 5 lbs (Substantial, heavy-grade authentic vintage ironstone)Unlike many sets on the market that suffer from deep cracks, repairs, or dark grease discoloration, this vintage set is a stunning, bright white display piece with a massive visual presence:
1. **No Structural Body Damage:** The heavy tureen bowl, embossed lid, and large underplate platter are entirely free of structural cracks, breaks, repairs, or chips.
2. **Beautiful, Clean Crazing:** There is age-appropriate spiderweb crazing on the shiny glaze layer across the set. Crucially, the crazing is completely clean with absolutely NO dark food or grease discoloration. It remains bright, crisp, and stark white.
3. **Ladle Underside Note:** The ladle is structurally solid and beautiful from the top. The underside reveals localized vintage glaze roughness near the top of the handle and a few pits along the underside of the bowl. It still presents beautifully for display or dry holiday staging.Fast same day shipping if the post office is open, otherwise their next business day! Related Items:
