Vintage Welby Elgin Mid-Century Modern Atomic Starburst Wall Clock – 32"
Striking vintage Welby starburst wall clock with classic Mid-Century Modern / Atomic styling.
This large statement clock features long tapered wood-grain-look metal rays surrounding a small round clock face with a white outer dial, brass/gold-tone center, applied hour markers, and slender metal hands.
The clock face is marked WELBY. The original-style battery-operated movement on the back is marked:

The movement has been tested with a battery, but we were unable to get the clock to run, so it is being sold as-is for repair, restoration, or 32" diameter from tip to tip
Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear throughout.
The wood-grain-look metal rays retain a great vintage appearance with some surface wear and marks consistent with age. There is surface rust/oxidation on the upper rear portion of the metal clock housing, as shown in the photos, along with additional minor oxidation and wear to the metal surfaces.
The face shows some age-related surface wear, spotting, scratches, and discoloration.
The clock has not been professionally serviced or restored. We tested the Elgin battery-operated movement but could not get it to operate, so no guarantee is made regarding the movement or what repairs may be required.
Please examine all photos closely, as they are an important part of the description and show the cosmetic condition, rear movement, rust, and other age-related wear.
A fantastic large-scale vintage starburst clock for a Mid-Century Modern, Atomic, retro, Eames-era, or 1960s-inspired interior, whether restored to working order or displayed as decorative wall art.
