Up for sale is a gorgeous vintage hand-carved and hand-painted solid wood decorative wall sign from the renowned Wagenhals Studio out of Algonac, Michigan. This charming piece of American folk art features a beautiful dimensional relief carving of a country hen sitting nestled inside a woven basket, complete with classic rustic typography advertising fresh eggs for 5 cents a dozen. The sign boasts a lovely aged patina with rich navy blue, dark red, and cream tones that fit perfectly into any primitive, country, or modern farmhouse home decor setup. It measures approximately 16.5 inches tall by 11.5 inches wide and is roughly 1 inch thick. The back is clean, features a pre-installed sawtooth hanger for immediate display, and proudly displays the original vintage paper studio label.
