Description:
Up for sale is a stunning vintage Thai Benjarong lidded porcelain jar. Benjarong literally translates to "Five Colors," a traditional style of Thai porcelain known for its dense, vibrant hand-painted enamel and heavy gold gilding accents.
This specific jar features a dramatic black background that makes the multi-colored floral peonies, leaves, and geometric borders vividly pop. The intricate patterns are outlined and elevated with gorgeous raised metallic gold detailing, completed with a beautiful gold-gilded finial knob on the lid. It serves as a spectacular decorative piece for a vanity, shelf, or tabletop catchall.
