Authentic Mid-Century Norwegian PewterUp for sale is a beautiful vintage Norwegian pewter pedestal bowl with a lid, crafted by Brødrene Lohne as part of the iconic "Snorre" line. This model,B.J.H. 36, is a classic example of Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian metalware.Key Features:
- Viking Saga Motif:The bowl features a continuous relief band depicting traditional Norse scenes, including Viking longships and warriors on horseback.
- Hallmarked:Clearly stamped on the bottom:"SNORRE NORSK TINN PEWTER B.J.H. 36".
- Versatile Use:Originally designed as a candy dish or sugar bowl, it also makes an excellent decorative centerpiece or vanity jewelry box.
The interior of the bowl is exceptionally clean and reflective. The decorative relief remains crisp.Note:As shown in the close-up photos, there is visible surface wear, denting, and minor pitting/abrasions along the outer rim of the pedestal base, which is common for pewter of this age.
