This vintage French Limoges porcelain trinket dish features a detailed historical illustration of Napoleon Bonaparte on horseback at Laffrey, commemorating the famous 1815 Prairie de la Rencontre where he successfully turned royalist troops to his cause. Measuring a petite 3 inches in diameter, the delicate piece is framed by an elegant, metallic gold laurel leaf garland border along the rim. The underside bears the gold stamped maker's mark "LIMOGES M.C.L. FRANCE," alongside a green manufacturer cancellation or "seconds" slash over the original factory porcelain stamp, indicating it was decorated by a specialized studio on a factory-marked blank. The dish is in excellent pre-owned vintage condition with a crisp central graphic, bright colors, intact gold gilding, and no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
