Vintage Fine Seyei China Nagoya Japan Guanyin Porcelain Table LampBeautiful and uncommon vintage Fine Seyei China figural table lamp, made in Nagoya, Japan.The lamp features an intricately modeled white glazed porcelain figure of Guanyin / Kannon, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, holding a lotus blossom and standing above an ornate lotus-and-water pedestal. The porcelain is mounted on a round black wood base with brass-tone lamp hardware and a pull-chain socket.The lamp retains its original red-and-gold “Fine Seyei China – Nagoya Japan” foil label on the reverse.A documented example of this same Seyei Guanyin lamp form has been dated to approximately the 1960s–1970s. Good vintage condition overall. The porcelain figure displays beautifully. The black wooden base shows noticeable age-related finish loss, scuffs, and wear, particularly around the edges, as clearly shown in the photographs. Brass-tone hardware also shows normal vintage age and wear.The lamp has been tested and is shown illuminated in the photographs.Shade is not included.
