Vintage Alaskan Skin/Hide & Fur Face Mask – Handmade Folk Art Wall Hanging
Unique vintage handmade face mask featuring a formed hide/skin face surrounded by thick natural fur. The face has hand-applied details including dark eyebrows, eyelashes, eyes and mouth, with long fur forming the hair, beard and outer trim.
A handwritten identification/provenance tag is attached to the reverse. Please review the close-up photograph of the tag for the exact wording and possible maker/material information.
This is an older handmade piece and shows age-related wear, including surface crazing/creasing, discoloration, loose or stray hairs, and general wear consistent with its age and construction. These characteristics add considerably to its vintage folk-art appearance.
Features: handmade construction; formed hide/skin face; natural fur trim; detailed eyelashes and facial features; handwritten tag on reverse; vintage Alaskan/Arctic folk-art style; displayable wall décor.
Please examine all photographs carefully for condition, materials and construction. Sold as found.
