A striking large-format circa-1970s portrait of Hinmaton Yalaktit—Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce—published by United Native Americans, Inc., with the historic photograph credited to the Smithsonian Institution National Anthropological Archives.
This substantial vintage poster measures approximately 35 × 22¼ in. and features a black-and-white halftone portrait on lightly textured cream/off-white paper.
Printed text includes “HINMATON YALATKIT / CHIEF JOSEPH / NEZ PERCE / 1832–1904,” the Smithsonian photographic credit, and “© UNITED NATIVE AMERICANS INC.”
Circa 1970s; exact printing year is not established. Single unmounted, unframed vintage sheet.
Vintage condition with age toning, light handling/surface marks, localized creasing/wrinkling, a small edge nick/short tear, and more noticeable creasing near one corner. No tape or adhesive residue. See photos for condition.
