Up for sale is a genuine, vintage 1956 Oldsmobile Rocket Hood Ornament (Factory Casting Part # 25616). This iconic piece of mid-century Americana came off a 1956 88/98 model and features the classic "Space Age" jet airplane design.Condition Details: Finish: Original chrome finish that still has a great, bright shine. It shows honest age with minor surface micro-scratching and slight, light pitting consistent with a 70-year-old part.Mounting: Excellent structural shape. All underlying mounting studs are completely intact, which is highly uncommon for these surviving originals.Usage: Perfect as-is for an authentic "patina" cruiser, a custom rat-rod build, or an incredible piece of automobilia desk/man-cave decor.
