This is a vintage Frederick Cooper Chinoiserie table lamp featuring a hand-painted Japanese or Chinese porcelain figural group.

The base displays two Asian children flanking a central decorative lidded jar, box, or censer topped with a sculpted dragon handle.

The porcelain figural centerpiece itself is a classic design historically imported from Japan, often distributed by upscale mid-century retailers like Neiman Marcus as an incense burner or trinket box.

High-end lamp makers like Chicago's Frederick Cooper repurposed these figurines into custom designer table lamps.

The entire porcelain figurine group is mounted on a dark wooden stepped base with a brass stem and topped with the original pleated silk ivory lamp shade & brass finial.

In very good overall age appropriate used condition with minor cosmetic surface wear. There is a small chip to the interior censer jar lip. Shade has some light staining & soiling. See pics for further condition evaluation. SOLD AS IS

Working opposite double socket lamp with dial power switch.

Lamp measures approximately 20” tall (top of final) x 8 1/4” long x 5” deep (at base). Shade (at bottom) measures 13” long x 8” deep x 8” tall and 9 1/4” long x 7 1/2” deep (at top).
