Never used!Up for sale is an exceptional piece of mid-century cosmetic history: a vintage 1950s Revlon Futurama Model 598 Sterling Silver Refillable Lipstick Case. Introduced in the mid-1950s, the iconic Futurama line was designed exclusively for Revlon by the legendary French luxury jewelry house Van Cleef & Arpels. This specific model (598) was the premier, top-tier offering of the entire line, originally retailing as a luxury fine jewelry item rather than standard cosmetics. Crafted from solid .925 sterling silver and beautifully stamped "Revlon STERLING 598" on the base. Features an intricately hand-engraved, textured leaf and floral pattern with stunning multi-toned gold wash accents. The central collar is encrusted with a complete, brilliant band of original rhinestones.
This is a remarkably complete collector’s set, featuring pieces that are rarely found together: The Sterling Silver Case: Bright, crisp, and beautifully preserved. The Original Presentation Box: A luxurious, black clamshell case lined with vibrant red velvet and white satin, complete with the classic scripted "Revlon" logo.
