This is an authentic President George W. Bush POTUS challenge coin from his period as President of The United States. This coin was produced by C. Forbes in 2001 for official use and was never available for retail purchase. It was exclusively available via presentation by President Bush himself. This coin was gifted to soldiers wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan, as well as select VIPs and dignitaries. Because President Bush distributed far fewer coins than his successors, this specific item is highly sought after by collectors, with many selling for five figures.

This exact version is permanently displayed at The George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas. It is in great condition for being 20 years old. Please note that it does not include a ceremonial gift box, as President Bush personally handed this coin to its original recipient, Colonel Terry Lockard. Colonel Lockard was my Commanding Officer at Marine Barracks, 8th & I. Col Lockard attended an event at the Oval Office and was presented with this coin, and then he gave it to me when I transported him from the White House back to 8th & I.
