In the middle of winter in Kansas City Missouri a  well educated and handsomely dressed young man has presumably received an important letter and wants to record that event so he puts the envelope in his pocket with the open end visible. Then he presents this cabinet card to his mother (mama) and signs with his first name Arthor? and dates the event as Jan. 1889. The photographer is Albert C. Carpenter, a full time photographer most of his life. Ships free carefully secured and protected.
