This historic 19th-century military map atlas studies the Seat of War and Napoleonic Campaigns—the exact strategic blueprints studied by West Point commanders and military tacticians prior to and during the War Between the States.

MUSEUM-GRADE PROVENANCE:

Owner: Brigadier General George Douglas Ramsay (1802–1882), 6th Chief of Ordnance for the United States Army. Appointed personally by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 to manage all Union artillery, munitions, and weaponry production during the height of the Civil War.
