Alteneder and Sons Stainless Steel Drafting Triangles (Set of 2)Up for sale is a beautiful, professional-grade pair of vintage technical drawing triangles manufactured by the renowned Theo. Alteneder and Sons of Philadelphia, PA. These are heavy-duty, highly rigid instruments crafted from brushed stainless steel, complete with their original knurled aluminum lifter handles.
Included in This Set:(1) Large 12-Inch Triangle: 30 / 60 / 90 degree template (measures approx. 12 inches on the long vertical edge).(1) Small 8-Inch Triangle: 30 / 60 / 90 degree template (measures approx. 8 inches on the long vertical edge).
Condition and Testing Details:
Perfect Flatness: Tested flat against a true surface with absolutely zero warping, bowing, or bending. They lay completely flush.
Working Edges: The drawing edges are straight, smooth, and clean, free of deep nicks, gouges, or dings that would cause a pencil or scribe to skip.
Original Hardware: Both knurled finger knobs/handles are firmly attached and unbent, allowing for easy lifting and sliding.
Markings: Both pieces feature the crisp, stamped manufacturer's mark reading "THEO. ALTENEDER & SONS STAINLESS STEEL". Both pieces also feature a vintage personalized owner's stamp reading "J. CONE" from its original workspace use.
