This unique offering is for a superb A1 ex-pupae MALE of the Rare & Iconic Ornithoptera croesus ssp. toeantei ( Wallace's Birdwing ). It is a truly rare subspecies, found only on Morotai Island. The specimen will arrive with wings folded in protective a packet, carefully-boxed, and ready for rehydration and the spreading board. These O. croesus subspecies toeantei, should NOT be confused with the far more common ( and less brilliantly-colored subspecies O.croesus lydius ).... Captive-bred, and in pristine A1 condition, this rare species will make an excellent addition to any collection of elite Birdwing specimens, or as a stunning focal point of any creative endeavor!!
