Highly unique thumbnail from the United Verde Mine. Very few of these specimens exist as the mine dumps were fenced off quickly after the mine ceased operations in the 1950’s. The United Verde Mine is a highly sought after location for Arizona mineral collectors due to the near non-existence of specimens vs a locality like Bisbee which specimens are a dime a dozen. The specimens I have are last few from a large lot I was very fortunate to find and I suspect that I will probably never see another lot of Jerome native copper again in my lifetime.
