Named USN Jacket 591 River Division Patches Mekong Delta 1968 Brown Water Navy:

One incredible original US Navy, "Brown Water Navy" slant pocket jacket / coat named and identified to the veteran. This one was made by Tellico Mfg Co with a 1968 date according to the DSA number. Both labels are intact. Per the label, it is a "Coat, Man's, Cotton W/R Rip-Stop Poplin, OG-107, Class 1, 100% Cotton." DSA 100-68-C-2483. The tag near the collar shows size Small Short. It is in great condition overall, with two Vietnamese theater made patches sewn on the sleeve and pocket. The pocket patch is hand embroidered bullion, and has a plastic protective cover, the same type of patch you might see on a beret worn by River Division personnel. That patch reads Mobile Riverine Force, Mekong Delta. The patch on the sleeve is also Vietnamese hand embroidered, and uses different colored fabric for the layers of background color. The blue and white areas are cloth backing layers and the gray area looks to be a felt type of material. That patch reads COMNAVSUPPACT Saigon, Nha Be, Naval Communications.

There is a screenshot of the veteran's obituary included in the photos. You can see the mention of his service in the Navy including COMNAVFORV, Commander, Naval Forces Vietnam; the 591st River Division in Nha Be; the Mobile Riverine Force in the Mekong Delta; and the ATSB (Advanced Tactical Support Base) at Song Ong Doc.
